MEASURING PATHS ACCURATELY, SUSTAINABLY AND INDIVIDUALLY

The SM 34 model series from Schreiber Messtechnik offers the possibility of measuring distances of up to 20 mm precisely. Thanks to its encapsulated design (IP68), variable operating voltage (5, 12, 24 V) and output signal (0-10, 0-5, 0-4V or 4-20 mA) as well as individual versions (ball joints, cable outlet, LEMO connector, push-button …), the sensor, which is just 10 mm thick, can also be used in existing systems under extreme environmental conditions.

The contactless measured value recording ensures an almost unlimited service life and an infinitely high resolution.

Sensitive applications such as satellite technology, aircraft construction and industrial automation benefit just as much as areas that are exposed to shock and vibration, oil mist, mud and rain.

One for everything. The SM34 is a better knife.

INDUCTIVE DISPLACEMENT & ANGLE TRANSDUCERS FOR UNDERWATER USE

The particularly robust inductive displacement and angle transducers operate wear-free according to the functional principle of the inductive half bridge or partial inductance distribution.

The contactless displacement or rotation of a NiFe core creates a corresponding inductance distribution in the two coil halves. The conversion into a standardized output signal is carried out by the integrated electronics. The connection cable is inserted into the watertight encapsulated sensor through a pressure-resistant PG screw connection. This design enables underwater use in water depths of up to 50 m.

A PU tube protects the displacement transducer from damage in the event of increased mechanical stresses. The sensors detect measuring distances of up to 360 mm and measuring angles of up to 120°. The sensors can also be manufactured to your individual requirements from small quantities.

UNFORTUNATELY YOU CAN’T WORK EVERYWHERE? OUR SENSORS CAN.

A cool drink, a pleasant sun/shade ratio and the complicated cases can still be dealt with the next day. Unfortunately, only very few of us have a working day like this. We can’t work everywhere. It’s different with sensor technology. It should be able to work anywhere.

Especially in summer, many locations can be in a state of emergency: Humid or excessively dry air, high temperatures and substances that settle everywhere. Even in such cases, it should be possible to determine every measured value precisely. The inductive displacement transducers from the Krefeld sensor specialists at a.b.jödden gmbh ensure this.

The sensors, which can also be customized on request, are inserted into a stainless steel or NiFe housing and then completely encapsulated. This process results in an analog sensor that can be used between cold – 40°C and hot + 125°C, easily achieves protection class IP68 (submersion up to 50 m) and is shock and vibration resistant up to 250 g.

This wear-free measuring method works with distances of up to 360 mm.

The evaluation electronics supply the sensors with a highly constant alternating voltage. The measurement signal is demodulated in the correct phase, amplified and output as a standardized 0(4) – 20 mA, 0 – 10 VDC or ± 10 VDC output signal for further processing. Depending on the application, the electronics can be designed as a 1- or 2-channel version in different housings or even integrated in the sensor. This ensures that the sensor and electronics can work optimally in your existing system or completely independently for you in every application.

Not only distances, but also angles, acceleration, inclination, temperature and many other measured variables can be recorded and processed with the wide range of products offered by the company, which has been operating successfully since 1999. A wide variety of designs such as probes or gap sensors, peripherals such as displays or data loggers are available here from a single source.

If that doesn’t bring us any closer to the beach, at least it makes everyday working life more pleasant to know who can provide answers when sensory information is required.

POWERFUL SENSORS FOR POWERFUL APPLICATIONS

High-precision sensor technology and a harsh environment are not always compatible, at least not without high additional costs for enclosures.

Many sectors, from manufacturing and agriculture to rail transport, are investing more than they need to.

The SM40 series, which is distributed exclusively by a.b.jödden in the DACH region alongside many other products such as inclination sensors and angle transducers and encoders, can provide high-resolution measurement data even under extreme environmental conditions at no extra cost.

The encapsulated design ensures IP68 certification and high shock and vibration resistance (250 g SRS or 20 g rms).

In addition to the familiar standardized output signals 0(4) – 20 mA, 0 – 10 VDC or ± 10 VDC with operating voltages between 20 and 32 VDC, these sensors have integrated electronics.

The operating voltage of 5 VDC and the low operating current of only typ. 3 mA also enables use in mobile systems. The proportional output signal 0 – 4 VDC can be processed directly by many evaluation units.

In addition to the standard versions, all sensors are also available with individual mechanical attachments, such as ball joints or return springs, even in small quantities.
